1984 - The ballpark opens
One of the largest and most ambitious baseball facilities ever built in Maine opens its gates in Old Orchard Beach.
1984-1988 - Triple a baseball arrives
The Maine Guides and Maine Phillies bring Triple A baseball to The Ballpark, just one step below the Major Leagues.
june 1986 - 10,000+ fans pack the ballpark
The Pointer Sisters perform before one of the largest crowds in venue history, helping establish The Ballpark as a premier summer concert destination.
1987 - major league stars take the field
Future stars and rehab assignments bring national attention to Old Orchard Beach, including Oil Can Boyd, Dwight Gooden & Darren Daulton.
1988-1997 - the concert era
The Ballpark hosts more than 70 major concerts featuring Aerosmith, AC/DC, Whitney Houston, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Phish and many more.
1990 - rock takes over the ballpark
A single summer features Aerosmith, The Black Crowes, Motley Crue, KISS, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Whitesnake, and many more.
1994 - A historic summer
The Ballpark welcomes its largest summer of concerts to date, featuring Meat Loaf, Moody Blues, Spin Doctors, Gin Blossoms, Steve Miller, Peter Frampton, & Allman Brothers.
1997 - the final concert summer
Santana, Cheap Trick, ZZ Top, Aerosmith and Rusted Root help close one of the most memorable chapters in Ballpark history.
2009-2010 - baseball returns
The Ballpark begins a new era as independent and collegiate baseball bring life back to the historic venue.
2011-2014 - the raging tides years
The Ballpark once again becomes a summer destination for baseball fans throughout Maine.
2015-2018 the surge era
Over four seasons, the Surge help continue the revival of The Ballpark and establish Old Orchard Beach as a home for independent professional baseball once again.
2026 - maine beach ball begins
A new generation of fans create new memories at one of New England's most historic baseball venues.
